Saturday Oct. 24th, 2026 Update
New Shipments, Manufacturing Progress & Production Funding
Hi everyone!
I'm back with another weekly update, and I'm happy to share some positive developments! We've received additional inventory, have new manufacturing photos to share, and have reached an important milestone with our production funding.
Before we get started, I want to encourage everyone to take a little time to read through the full update when possible. I know these can get lengthy, especially with so many different figures and moving parts involved, but I try to include as much relevant information and context as I can so people dont get misinterpretations or misinformation!
I also recognize that I can do a better job of making that information easier to follow, which is something I'll be working on with these weekly reports. My hope is that having everything organized into consistent sections will make it easier for everyone to find the information most relevant to their orders.
With that said, let's get into this week's progress!
1. Fulfillment Update: Eda, Baby Weh & Titan Luz
I'm happy to announce that we'll begin shipping Eda, Baby Weh (Baby King), and Titan Luz figures starting next week, October 26!
We've finally received our Titan Luz shipment, along with an additional batch of Eda figures featuring improved blister box packaging!
As mentioned in earlier updates, Eda and Baby Weh have been at our headquarters for some time. With Titan Luz now arriving, we're ready to move forward with fulfilling orders containing these available figures.
Shipping will be processed in batches, so not everyone will receive a shipping notification immediately. However, this is another group of long-awaited figures that we can finally begin getting into your hands!
International Backers — A Shipping Reminder
For our international backers, I want to clarify how we're handling orders that contain multiple toys.
If your order includes additional figures that are not yet available, we'll continue holding your shipment until those remaining items are ready.
This is intentional, as we're trying to help prevent international supporters from having to pay import duties, taxes, and customs processing fees multiple times on separate deliveries.
However, if you'd prefer to receive your available figures now rather than wait, we're happy to accommodate a separate shipment where possible!
Please understand that splitting your shipment may result in additional import duties, customs fees, and potentially additional shipping costs. These expenses would be your responsibility.
If you're comfortable with that arrangement, please contact our customer support at help@studiobadegg.com team with your order details so we can review your available shipping options.
For international orders containing only figures that are currently available, we'll be able to proceed with fulfillment as normal.
I know international shipping has been especially challenging throughout this campaign, and I'm doing my best to avoid adding unnecessary expenses to what backers have already paid.
What About Hooty?
Unfortunately, we have not received Hooty yet.
As mentioned in our previous update, Hooty is included among the remaining figures scheduled to move forward with the funding from our private investor. This brings me to our next announcement!
2. Production Funding — An Important Milestone!
The production funding from our private investor has officially been sent!
Because we're heading into the weekend, the transfer is awaiting normal banking processing and is expected to become available during the upcoming business week. This is an important milestone for the remaining figures that have been awaiting additional production funding.
Once the funds have cleared and become available for production payments, I'll be coordinating the next manufacturing stages with our production partners.
As mentioned previously, the investment is intended to support the remaining figures, including Hooty, with McGucket and Bill of Evils remaining outside this current round of funding.
I do want to clarify that receiving the funds doesn't mean every figure immediately enters mass production. Each collectible still needs to go through its own manufacturing stages, which I'll continue documenting as we progress.
Getting this funding into place is a meaningful step toward completing the remaining figures, and I'm grateful that we're finally moving forward with this next chapter of production.
3. Inside the Factory — Weekly Manufacturing Report
Something I'd like to introduce moving forward is a dedicated manufacturing section in every weekly update!
A lot happens behind the scenes when producing collectible figures, and many of those stages aren't particularly visible until a finished product is ready.
Rather than only sharing completed samples or final products, I thought it would be interesting and helpful to show more of what actually goes into making these collectibles.
This week, our manufacturer sent over photographs of the finalized production molds that are/being currently used for Ford "The Traveller" Infinity Mirror and Brass Tacks Stan!
Brass Tacks Stan — Manufacturing Mold
An inside look at the production tooling used to manufacture Brass Tacks Stan.
Ford "The Traveller" Infinity Mirror — Manufacturing Mold
Manufacturing tooling for Ford "The Traveller," one of the more technically complex figures in the collection.
How Does Toy Manufacturing Actually Work?
For those unfamiliar with collectible manufacturing, the molds are one of the most important and costly parts of the entire production process.
Before a figure can be produced at scale, its design needs to be translated into physical manufacturing tools. These molds are made to reproduce the individual components of the figure with consistent dimensions, details, and proportions.Depending on the design, a single collectible may require multiple molds to produce its different components.
This is also why manufacturing isn't quite as simple as pressing a button and having a finished toy come out the other side!
Once the necessary tooling is completed and approved, there are still several stages involved in creating the finished collectible:
Molding and forming: Manufacturing the individual parts using the completed tooling.
Finishing and painting: Cleaning up components, applying paint, and adding decorative details.
Assembly: Combining the individual parts and installing any necessary electronics or specialized components.
Quality control: Checking for defects, proper fit, functionality, and consistency across the production run.
Packaging: Preparing the finished collectibles for shipping and distribution.Ford is particularly complex because of the Infinity Mirror's electronic components and the additional compliance considerations involved, which I've discussed in previous updates.
As mentioned previously, Ford and Stan are in mass production, and these photographs offer a closer look at some of the tooling involved in that process.
Of course, seeing completed molds doesn't mean finished figures are immediately ready to ship. Manufacturing, assembly, quality checks, and packaging still need to be completed before fulfillment can begin.
Going forward, I'd like to continue sharing photographs, factory updates, samples, and other behind-the-scenes details as they're provided by our manufacturer.Even if a week doesn't bring a major milestone, I'll still include this section so everyone can better understand where production stands.
4. A Small Note About Communication
I also wanted to take a moment to address something that's come up quite a bit: communication.
For those who have followed our updates over the years, I've mentioned before that I tend to communicate when there's substantial progress to share rather than posting about every smaller development.
That's simply how I've traditionally approached project updates. I've always preferred having something meaningful or tangible to show rather than repeatedly sharing the same information when very little has changed.
However, I've come to recognize that the way I prefer to communicate isn't necessarily the way everyone needs to be communicated with.
Everyone works differently, and while that approach made sense to me, it clearly hasn't worked as well for a project with this many moving parts and people waiting on their orders.
And that's completely fair.
I've heard the feedback about communication repeatedly, and rather than continuing to explain why I approach things a certain way, I think it's more productive to make the change.
That's why I'm committing to weekly updates, even when there isn't a significant development to announce.
Sometimes the update might be a manufacturing photograph. Sometimes it'll be a small production milestone, a shipping update, or simply confirmation that we're still waiting on something.
It may not always be exciting news, but at least everyone will have a clearer picture of what's happening.I'm still learning how to navigate all of this, and I appreciate those who have taken the time to share constructive feedback.
5. Refund Policy — An Important Clarification
I also want to address some of the continued questions and concerns regarding our refund policy, particularly why refunds were offered at certain points throughout the campaign and why some backers have received refunds while others have not.
First and foremost, when BYEEE originally launched in October 2024, we did not offer refunds once the campaign ended. This was explicitly stated on our Indiegogo campaign's landing page from the very beginning, before anyone made a contribution.
Our original terms explained that contributions would be committed to manufacturing and fulfillment once the campaign concluded. This was not a policy introduced later in response to production delays.
However, as the campaign progressed, I recognized that certain circumstances warranted additional consideration. I made the decision to offer refund accommodations beyond our original policy, primarily for two reasons.
1. Severe Financial Hardship
Some backers reached out explaining that they were experiencing significant financial difficulties. Their circumstances had changed since initially supporting the campaign, and they genuinely needed those funds for essential living expenses or unexpected emergencies.
I understood that situations change, sometimes unexpectedly, and wanted to accommodate individuals facing genuine hardship wherever reasonably possible.
2. Unexpected International Tariffs and Import Costs
Changes in U.S. tariff policies created substantial additional expenses for the campaign, while international import duties, taxes, and customs-related charges presented further financial burdens for some international supporters.
In certain cases, the additional costs associated with receiving their collectibles were disproportionately high, sometimes exceeding the value of the products themselves.
These were circumstances that neither I nor our backers had originally anticipated, and I wanted to make reasonable accommodations for those affected.
Why Were Refunds Opened and Then Closed?
I want to emphasize that our campaign did not originally offer general post-campaign refunds. The additional accommodations were introduced because I wanted to help backers facing difficult and unexpected circumstances.
For a period, we also made broader refund requests available beyond those original terms. That period subsequently closed in July 2026, as communicated in our previous updates.
I understand why some backers view this as a change in policy, especially if they saw refunds being issued during that period.
However, opening that refund period was not intended to permanently replace our original crowdfunding terms or establish an indefinite refund option.
While the broader refund period has closed, consideration for exceptional financial circumstances remains available.
I am still reviewing requests involving severe financial hardship or exceptional international import-related financial burdens on a case-by-case basis.
Why Have Some Backers Received Refunds Outside These Circumstances?
I also want to acknowledge something that may have contributed to the confusion surrounding our policy.
There have been individual instances where I approved refunds outside the circumstances outlined above, including situations involving prolonged disputes or repeated requests.
These were decisions I made individually, sometimes in an effort to bring resolution to situations that had become particularly difficult to navigate.
I recognize that seeing some refunds approved while others were declined may have created the impression that our policy was inconsistent or that refunds were generally available.
I understand that perception, and I take responsibility for not making the distinction clearer.
However, these individual decisions were exceptions, not an indication that our original policy had been permanently changed or that the broader refund period remained open.
I also want to clarify that the frequency of requests, public comments, or the level of frustration expressed does not determine eligibility for a refund.
Moving forward, my intention is to evaluate exceptional requests consistently under the criteria we've communicated, while also honoring any obligations under applicable law.
Why Do We Request Supporting Information?
I've also seen concerns about requesting proof of financial hardship, and I want to clarify the reasoning behind this.
For discretionary hardship accommodations, I ask for minimal reasonable supporting information to understand the circumstances and evaluate requests fairly.
This isn't intended to be invasive, and I certainly don't expect anyone to disclose sensitive personal information unnecessarily.
A brief explanation and limited supporting information are generally sufficient. Unrelated sensitive details can be redacted, and requests are reviewed privately.
The purpose is to provide a fair and consistent process for exceptional accommodations rather than make arbitrary decisions about who qualifies.
Moving Forward
I recognize that many backers have been waiting considerably longer than originally anticipated, and I understand why some would prefer a refund rather than continue waiting.
However, the funds raised through BYEEE have been committed to manufacturing, production, and fulfillment. Maintaining an unrestricted refund period would further reduce the resources available to complete the outstanding figures.
I have to balance individual circumstances with my responsibility to fulfill the campaign as a whole.
Previously approved refund commitments will continue to be honored, and nothing in this policy is intended to limit any rights or remedies provided under applicable law.
Ultimately, the original no-refund policy was communicated before the campaign was funded. Additional accommodations were introduced afterward to help backers facing exceptional circumstances, and those exceptions continue to be considered today.
I understand that not everyone will agree with these decisions, and I respect that. My goal is to be transparent about how we've approached refunds, acknowledge where the process may have caused confusion, and maintain a consistent approach moving forward.
My priority remains completing the outstanding collectibles and fulfilling the commitments we've made to our backers.
6. What's Next?
For the coming week, my immediate priorities are:
Beginning fulfillment of Eda, Baby Weh, and Titan Luz.
Confirming that the investor's production funds have cleared.
Coordinating the next manufacturing stages for the remaining funded figures, including Hooty.
Continuing to monitor Ford and Stan's production progress.Gathering additional manufacturing photographs and details for next week's report.
I'll continue addressing the remaining figures as their respective manufacturing stages progress, including those not yet in production.
Final Thoughts
I know there's still a lot of work ahead, and I don't want to suggest that these developments erase the delays or frustrations many of you have experienced.
But I do want to recognize the progress we've made.We have additional finished figures in hand, another round of fulfillment beginning, new manufacturing developments to share, and funding moving into place for the next stages of production.
These are meaningful steps toward completing what we started.I
hope these weekly reports will also give everyone a better understanding of the work happening behind the scenes, the challenges we're navigating, and the progress we're making along the way.
Thank you to everyone who continues to follow along, and especially to those who have offered patience, understanding, and constructive feedback throughout this process.
I'll be back next week with another update!

Monday Oct .19th, 2026 Update
Hello, everyone!
It's been far too long since we've provided a substantial update, and I want to begin by acknowledging that.
This October marks two years since the BYEEE Multiverse Collection first launched. What began as an exciting celebration of the worlds and characters we love has become a much longer and more complicated journey than any of us anticipated.
I know many of you have grown frustrated, disappointed, and concerned about the future of this collection. Our communication hasn't been nearly as consistent as it should have been, and for that, I sincerely apologize.
There's quite a bit to discuss, including an important new investment agreement, the progress of Ford and Stan into mass production, and some changes we're making to how we communicate with you moving forward.
Rather than revisit every obstacle we've experienced, I want to focus on where things stand today and what we're doing to move the remaining collection forward.
Securing Additional Funding for the Collection
First, I want to share an important development that we've been working toward for quite some time.
We've reached an agreement with a private investor who will be providing additional funding to help bring more of the remaining BYEEE figures into production. The transfer of these funds is currently scheduled for this coming week.
I also want to address a question that understandably comes with this announcement: Why is additional funding necessary when so many of you have already contributed toward the collection?
Over the past two years, Studio Bad Egg has faced substantial financial setbacks that have affected our ability to maintain the manufacturing schedule we originally anticipated.
Some of you may remember the manufacturing disaster involving our previous Eda figures, when an entire shipment arrived damaged and required an extensive resolution and reproduction process. That situation placed a significant financial and operational strain on our business. Alongside this, increased tariffs, international freight and transportation expenses, and other unexpected manufacturing costs created additional financial pressures.
For BYEEE specifically, we've also incurred considerable expenses throughout development and fulfillment, including the work involved in completing and shipping over 1,400 orders containing non-toy merchandise.
These challenges, alongside other financial difficulties and shortcomings in our own planning, have affected the resources available to complete the remaining figures. I don't want to suggest that every obstacle was beyond our control, or that these circumstances diminish our responsibility to our supporters.
The reality is that we need additional capital to advance the remaining manufacturing commitments, and finding that support has taken considerable time.
Finding an investor willing to support an existing crowdfunding project, particularly one with a complicated manufacturing history, hasn't been an easy process. We're grateful to have reached an agreement with someone who understands the circumstances and shares our interest in seeing these figures completed and delivered.
However, I want to be transparent about how this investment will be used.
The funding is intended to support the production of the remaining figures that haven't yet entered manufacturing, with the exception of Bill of Evils and McGucket.
Because this investment is limited, we've structured the remaining manufacturing work into phases, allowing us to focus on getting more completed figures into supporters' hands while continuing to move the collection forward.
Bill of Evils and McGucket remain part of our planned production lineup and will follow in a subsequent manufacturing phase.
While they aren't included in this particular investment arrangement, we fully intend to produce both figures and fulfill the commitments made to their supporters. Our current focus is on advancing the figures covered by this investment, after which we'll turn our attention to the next production phase.
We understand that supporters of Bill of Evils and McGucket have been waiting just as patiently as everyone else, and we want to reassure you that these figures remain part of the collection we're working to complete.
We'll continue including both figures in our weekly progress reports as we work toward their manufacturing phase.
Although we've reached an agreement with our investor, the funds have not yet been received. Once the transfer is completed and manufacturing arrangements are confirmed, we'll be able to communicate the next milestones for the figures included in this phase.
I recognize that securing additional financing is not the same as delivering completed figures. However, this agreement represents an important step toward addressing our remaining manufacturing obligations without introducing another major crowdfunding campaign.
Our focus now is on turning these additional resources into measurable manufacturing progress and, ultimately, getting the remaining collection into your hands.
Our Focus & Future Campaigns
I also want to address the concerns surrounding our newer merchandise releases while BYEEE remains unfinished.
Throughout these manufacturing setbacks, we've continued offering smaller releases to help sustain our day-to-day operations. However, we recognize that every additional project requires time, attention, and resources.
Because of this, we're making a conscious effort to avoid launching further major crowdfunding campaigns or taking on large-scale projects that would add significant new manufacturing commitments.
Our priority is to work through what's already on our plate rather than continually add to it.
Smaller merchandise releases may still occur to support ongoing operations, but we recognize the difference between those products and undertaking another extensive manufacturing campaign.
Finding additional financial support was part of our effort to move existing projects forward without relying on launching another major campaign.
We want to focus our resources on completing the commitments we've already made, and this new investment is an important part of that approach.
Manufacturing Progress & Our July Timeline
In July, we shared a 120-day manufacturing timeline provided by our production partner for Ford, Stan, and Darcy.
Unfortunately, that timeline has since changed.
As mentioned in our previous update regarding Ford's LED components, our manufacturer identified additional compliance considerations during the pre-production process.
Further product identification, labeling, and packaging requirements for U.S. distribution were also brought to our attention. These requirements affected Ford, Stan, and Darcy, and contributed to revisions to the original schedule.
While these requirements don't account for every delay the campaign has experienced, they have affected our recent manufacturing progress.
Here's where things currently stand:
Ford The Traveller & Brass Tacks Stan
Both Ford and Stan are now in the mass production process with our manufacturing partner!
Following the mold development phase and the additional manufacturing requirements that needed to be addressed, both figures have progressed into this next stage.
This is an important milestone for the collection and one we've been working toward for a considerable amount of time.
While there is still work ahead before the completed figures can undergo final quality inspections and be prepared for freight, we're pleased to see these two figures moving through the manufacturing process.
We don't have a confirmed shipping date to announce just yet, but we'll be sharing further production progress, photographs, and milestones as they become available through our weekly updates.
Darcy
Darcy was also affected by the additional compliance requirements and unfortunately has not yet entered manufacturing.
However, Darcy is among the figures intended to be supported by our new private investment. Once the funding has been received and manufacturing arrangements are confirmed, we'll be able to communicate its next steps more clearly.
The Remaining Figures
The additional investment is intended to help move more of the outstanding collection into production, excluding Bill of Evils and McGucket, as explained earlier.
We'll provide individual production milestones as they're confirmed with our manufacturing partner rather than announce speculative completion dates.
Fulfillment Progress & What's Left
I also want to highlight an important milestone regarding fulfillment for the BYEEE collection.
We've successfully completed and shipped over 1,400 orders containing non-toy merchandise, including pins, keychains, prints, and other smaller collectibles.
All non-toy merchandise has now been fulfilled, meaning the only remaining products awaiting shipment are the collectible figures themselves.
Weekly Progress Updates … Until We're Done
This brings me to one of the most important changes we're making.
Beginning this week, we're committing to weekly BYEEE progress updates, and we'll continue providing them until the outstanding campaign fulfillment has been resolved.
Every single week.
Whether there's a major production milestone, photographs from our manufacturer, updated shipping information, or simply confirmation that we're still waiting on the next development, we'll communicate it.
Some weeks may have more progress to share than others, and that's okay. What matters is that you're no longer left wondering what's happening.
These weekly reports will cover:
Manufacturing progress: Where each figure stands and what milestones have been completed.
Outstanding obstacles: Any approvals, production requirements, or scheduling issues affecting our timeline.
Funding developments: Relevant updates about the additional investment and the manufacturing progress it supports.
Fulfillment: Updates on outstanding orders and shipping arrangements.
Next steps: What we're working toward and what information we're still waiting to receive.
If nothing has changed, we'll say so. If something gets delayed, we'll explain why.
We'll publish these updates directly here on Indiegogo so everyone has a consistent place to follow the collection.
This is something I needed to be implemented much earlier, and I understand that another commitment means very little unless we follow through.
We're no longer going to wait until there's exciting news to communicate.
